Wilhelmshöhe Palace

The Museum Palace Wilhelmshöhe offers a variety of museums under one roof and a magnificent view of the city and the symbol of Kassel, the Hercules monument.

In Wilhelmshöhe Palace, experience the largest collection of Dutch painting outside the Netherlands, by artists such as Rembrandt, Rubens and Jordaens. Let yourself be enchanted by works of French, Spanish and German painting from the 16th and 17th centuries in the Gallery of Old Masters. You can see the Kassel Apollo and other ancient works of art in the Collection of Antiquities, also in the Museum Palace Wilhelmshöhe. Portrait engravings, maps, topographical views and much more can be found in the Collection of Prints and Drawings. Last but not least, you should not miss a visit to the Weissenstein Wing. At hourly intervals, a guided tour takes you through impressive rooms in the style of absolutism.
